Understanding Attachment Styles

Radiant Connections Therapy · Educational article

Understanding the concept

Attachment theory describes patterns in how people seek safety and closeness. Popular labels such as secure, anxious, and avoidant are simplified descriptions of tendencies, not diagnoses or permanent personality categories.

What this might look like

A person might feel secure with one relationship and uncertain in another, especially under stress. Context matters.

A question to reflect on

Which situations make closeness feel easier or more difficult for you?
