The Therapy Process

How Do We Know Therapy Is Working?

Radiant Connections Therapy · Educational article

Understanding the concept

Meaningful change can appear in daily functioning, relationships, symptom severity, self-understanding, or flexibility under stress. Therapists may use collaborative goals and questionnaires alongside your own account of change.

What this might look like

A person may still feel anxious at times yet find they can attend events they previously avoided. Progress can involve an expanded capacity to respond, not the complete absence of difficult feelings.

A question to reflect on

What small changes in your life would tell you that therapy is useful?
